Winters Park/Neutral Double Safety Switch for TH700R4, 4L60E, 4L80E, Allison LTC1000, 2000 & 2400
SKU: 1089-29
The Winters Double Safety Switch Kit for Turbo-Hydro 700R4, 4L60E, 4L80E, Allison LTC1000, 2000 & 2400 transmissions adds both Park/Neutral start protection and automatic reverse light activation to your Winters Sidewinder Shifter. This upgrade is essential for any off-road vehicle that needs enhanced safety—and absolutely mandatory for shifters being used in on-road or street-legal applications where functioning reverse lights are required.
This system uses two roller switches:
- One switch allows the vehicle to start only in Park or Neutral
- The second switch activates your reverse lights when the shifter is placed in Reverse
The switches bolt cleanly under the body of the shifter, using custom cam plates that ensure consistent activation every time. This kit makes it easy to add backup lighting, improve safety, and keep your build compliant with street regulations.
Includes:
- (1) Park/Neutral roller switch
- (1) Reverse-light roller switch
- (2) Cam plates
- Mounting brackets for both switches

Tech Insight
This dual-switch system is one of the most functional upgrades you can add to a Winters shifter. The Park/Neutral switch prevents accidental vehicle movement by ensuring the starter only engages when the shifter is safely positioned. At the same time, the reverse switch automates backup-light activation—an important convenience in off-road environments and a requirement in many states for street-driven rigs.
Wiring is straightforward: instead of sending the ignition wire directly from the starter switch to the solenoid, the circuit is routed through the Park/Neutral switch first. The reverse switch simply ties into your backup-light circuit. Rugged roller switches and laser-cut cam plates ensure flawless activation even as the shifter ages or experiences heavy off-road use.
