The Wide Open Design Custom 7075 Aluminum Suspension Links are built in-house for custom 4-link suspensions, steering links, and other high-load off-road applications. Each link starts as solid 7075 aluminum bar and is cut and threaded to your specifications, giving you a link built around the exact length, diameter, thread size, and thread direction your suspension requires.

7075 aluminum is an excellent choice for rock crawlers and off-road buggies because it can flex under hard impacts and return toward its original shape rather than remaining permanently bent like a steel link can. With diameters from 1.50" through 2.50" and multiple thread options, these links can be configured around everything from lighter trail rigs to heavy-duty custom suspension builds.

Why would I order one right-hand and one left-hand thread?

A RH/LH configuration allows link length to be adjusted by rotating the link without removing the rod ends from their mounts. When applicable, WOD machines a wrench flat on the left-hand threaded side to help identify thread direction and make adjustment easier.

What thread sizes are available?

Available options include 3/4"-16, 7/8"-14, 7/8"-18, 1"-12, 1"-14, and 1-1/4"-12. The 1"-12, 1"-14, and 1-1/4"-12 options require a 1.75" diameter link or larger.
