Off-Road Carrier Bearing Kits

    Filter

Off-road driveshaft carrier bearing kits provide a solution for custom drivetrains where chassis layout, wheelbase, suspension links, or transfer case placement make a conventional one-piece driveshaft difficult or impossible to package. Wide Open Design offers DIY carrier bearing shaft kits in 1350, 1410, and 1480 U-joint series along with carrier bearings, DOM tube, and weld-on mounting components for rock crawlers, buggies, and custom off-road drivetrains.

A properly designed carrier bearing setup does more than divide a long driveshaft into multiple sections. Shaft alignment, driveline angles, carrier bearing placement, runout, chassis clearance, and mounting rigidity all affect vibration and component life. WOD carrier bearing components give builders the flexibility to route a driveline around crossmembers, suspension links, and other chassis components while maintaining proper drivetrain alignment.
