The WOD 1410 Carrier Bearing Shaft Builder Kit provides everything needed to build a heavy-duty intermediate shaft for multi-piece driveshaft systems, custom chassis builds, and long-wheelbase off-road vehicles. Built around the proven WOD Single Ended Carrier Bearing and genuine Spicer 1410 driveline components, this kit is designed for builders who need increased strength over a traditional 1350 driveline while maintaining excellent driveline angles and articulation.

Carrier bearing systems divide long driveshafts into multiple sections to reduce shaft whip, control vibration, and improve driveline reliability. The 1410 series is widely considered the ideal choice for one-ton Jeeps, trail buggies, rock crawlers, and Ultra4 race cars, offering an excellent balance of strength, durability, articulation, and serviceability.

Includes:

  • (1) WOD Single Ended Carrier Bearing
  • (1) Carrier Bearing Mount
  • (1) Spicer 1410 Carrier Bearing Yoke
  • (1) Spicer 1410 Weld Yoke
  • (1) Spicer 1410 Universal Joint
  • (1) Spicer 1410 U-Bolt Kit

Important: This kit is supplied as a DIY builder kit and does not come assembled. Welding, final fitment, and professional driveshaft balancing are required.

FAQ

What does a carrier bearing do?

A carrier bearing supports the intermediate section of a two-piece or multi-piece driveshaft. By dividing a long driveshaft into shorter sections, it reduces shaft whip, minimizes vibration, and helps maintain proper driveline angles throughout suspension travel.

When should you use a carrier bearing system?

Carrier bearings are commonly used on long-wheelbase vehicles, rear-engine chassis, custom tube buggies, Ultra4 race cars, and other applications where a single-piece driveshaft would be excessively long or operate at undesirable angles.

Why choose a 1410 driveline?

The 1410 series offers substantially greater torque capacity than a 1350 driveline while maintaining excellent articulation and serviceability. For many one-ton off-road vehicles, it provides the ideal balance between strength, weight, and durability.

Is this kit ready to install?

No. This is a builder kit intended for experienced fabricators. Tube selection, cutting, welding, alignment, balancing, and final assembly are required before installation.

What components work with this kit?

This kit is designed to work with WOD 1410 Driveshaft Builder Kits, Spicer 1410 U-Joints, Spicer 1410 Yokes, and other matching 1410-series driveline components.

Can I upgrade from a 1350 system?

Yes. Many builders upgrade to a 1410 driveline when increasing horsepower, tire size, vehicle weight, or overall driveline load. Be sure all related yokes and driveline components are compatible with the 1410 series.
