High Misalignment Spacers

High Angle Heim Joint Spacers are designed to increase the available misalignment and articulation of a heim joint by providing additional clearance between the rod end and its mounting tabs. The extended spacer profile allows the spherical ball to rotate farther before the rod end body contacts the mounting hardware, making these spacers ideal for four-link suspension, steering, and other high-articulation off-road applications.
Machined from 303 stainless steel, each spacer is sized by bore size, shank size, and finished mount width. The shank fits into the rod end bore while the spacer bore determines the mounting bolt size, allowing builders to match the heim joint to the tabs and hardware required for the suspension or steering system.

Select the spacer according to the rod end bore, mounting bolt diameter, and required mounting width.
- SG10-84: 5/8" rod end bore with 1/2" mounting hardware and 1.250" mount width

Tech Insight
A heim joint can only articulate until the rod end body or mounting hardware begins to interfere with the spherical ball. High angle spacers create additional clearance at this point, allowing the rod end to operate through a greater angle before binding. This is especially important in four-link suspension and steering systems where the link angle changes significantly as the suspension cycles.
The spacer also acts as the interface between the rod end and mounting tabs. Its shank size matches the rod end bore, its bore size determines the mounting bolt diameter, and the pair of spacers establishes the finished mount width. Matching all three dimensions is important for a properly supported, bind-free installation.
