The Wide Open Design Revolution 3.0 Rock Crawler 4-Seat Chassis is designed for builders who want the capability of a competition-ready rock crawler with the space and comfort of a four-seat buggy. This chassis blends aggressive performance with the distinctive rolled tubing design that helped put Wide Open Design on the map and has since become a recognizable style across the off-road industry.
Engineered with years of trail riding and racing experience, the Revolution 3.0 platform was built to support modern drivetrain options, full-width axles, and high-performance suspension systems. The chassis geometry allows suspension components to work cohesively with the frame design, resulting in predictable handling and excellent climbing capability.
Built around proven drivetrain, suspension, and electrical layouts, the Revolution 3.0 chassis gives builders access to a professionally engineered platform that was once only available through custom one-off builds. The result is a strong, refined, and highly capable rock crawler chassis ready to become the foundation for your next off-road buggy.
The Revolution 3.0 chassis builds on the success of Wide Open Design’s earlier buggy platforms by combining proven suspension geometry with a modern four-seat layout. The signature rolled tubing design not only gives the chassis its distinctive look but also contributes to structural strength and clean body lines.
Strategic use of .188 wall DOM tubing in high-impact areas reinforces the chassis where additional strength is required while keeping the overall weight manageable. This heavy-duty design helps protect the chassis from dents and deformation during aggressive trail use.
Replaceable .188 wall rock sliders protect the sides of the buggy and can easily be replaced if damaged. The chassis also includes removable drivetrain crossmembers connected with tube flange sets, allowing drivetrain components to be installed or removed more easily during the build process or future maintenance.
The rear section of the chassis provides space to mount a 15-gallon fuel cell along with a fabricated toolbox or cooler, making the platform suitable for both competitive rock crawling and longer trail rides.
