The Radflo 2.5" x 12" Short Body Remote Reservoir Coilover Shock is designed for builders who need premium suspension performance but don't have room for a traditional coilover package. By utilizing a compact short-body design, this shock allows additional suspension travel and improved packaging flexibility in applications where chassis clearance, ride height, driveline placement, or suspension geometry limit available mounting space.

Built around Radflo's proven 2.5" shock body, heavy-duty 7/8" shaft, and remote reservoir system, this coilover delivers the same race-proven suspension performance found throughout the Radflo lineup while helping builders maximize available suspension travel.

The included 90-degree reservoir fittings improve hose routing and simplify installation in tight engine compartments, tube chassis vehicles, rock crawlers, Ultra4 cars, prerunners, and rock bouncers where every inch of clearance matters.

Compared to standard-length coilovers, the short-body design creates additional room for steering components, chassis tubing, drivetrain packaging, fuel cells, and suspension mounts without sacrificing the performance advantages of a remote reservoir coilover.

Included Items

Tech Insight

1. What is a short-body coilover?

A short-body coilover uses a more compact shock body design that allows builders to package the shock in tighter spaces while maintaining usable suspension travel. They are commonly used in custom chassis and high-clearance suspension applications.

2. Why would I choose a short-body shock instead of a standard coilover?

Short-body coilovers are ideal when chassis clearance, driveline placement, steering components, or suspension geometry limit available mounting space. They help maximize travel while solving packaging challenges.

3. What are the advantages of the remote reservoir?

The remote reservoir increases oil capacity, improves cooling, reduces shock fade, and helps maintain consistent damping performance during aggressive off-road use.

4. What are the 90-degree fittings for?

The 90-degree reservoir fittings improve hose routing and simplify installation in tight chassis layouts where straight fittings may interfere with suspension, steering, or chassis components.

5. Do these coilovers include springs?

No. Springs are sold separately so builders can select the proper Eibach coilover springs and spring rates for their vehicle weight, suspension geometry, and intended use. (Learn How to Calculate Spring Rates)
