The Holley Sniper EFI 102mm LS Throttle Body is built for performance LS combinations that need more airflow than a smaller throttle body can provide. Manufactured by Holley Sniper EFI, its large 102mm bore and billet aluminum construction make it a strong choice for higher-horsepower naturally aspirated, stroker, and performance LS builds using a cable-operated throttle system.

Beyond the larger bore, this throttle body uses a progressive throttle pulley to keep initial throttle response manageable and a dual return spring for positive pedal control. The black anodized body features GM IAC and TPS provisions, an adjustable throttle stop, and a 4-bolt mounting pattern that works well with compatible Sniper EFI and performance LS intake manifolds.

Includes:

  • (1) Holley Sniper EFI 102mm Throttle Body
  • Progressive Throttle Pulley
  • Dual Return Spring
  • Adjustable Throttle Stop
  • 4-Bolt Throttle Body Mounting Hardware

Note: IAC motor, TPS sensor, gasket, and throttle body spacer are not included.

Fitment Notes

  • This is a cable-operated 102mm throttle body, so engine displacement alone does not guarantee fitment.
  • Verify that your intake manifold uses the correct 4-bolt throttle body flange.
  • The vehicle must be configured for mechanical throttle operation.
  • The 102mm bore is best suited to performance combinations where additional airflow is needed.
  • Check intake manifold opening and clearance to make sure the manifold can take advantage of the full 102mm opening.

FAQ

1. What is the advantage of the 102mm throttle body over the 92mm version?

The 102mm opening provides a larger airflow path, making it better suited to higher-horsepower LS combinations with upgraded cylinder heads, camshafts, intake manifolds, increased displacement, or other modifications that increase airflow demand. A 92mm throttle body may be a better fit when maximum airflow is not required.

2. Is a 102mm throttle body too large for my LS engine?

It depends on the complete engine combination. Bigger is not automatically better. Intake manifold size, displacement, cylinder heads, camshaft, RPM range, and horsepower goals should justify the larger throttle opening.

3. Does the progressive throttle pulley help with a large 102mm throttle body?

Yes. The progressive pulley provides more controlled initial throttle opening, helping improve low-speed modulation while still allowing full throttle when needed. This is especially useful in high-horsepower off-road builds where precise pedal control matters.

4. Does this throttle body include an IAC motor or TPS?

No. It includes provisions for both components, but the Idle Air Control motor and Throttle Position Sensor are sold separately. The IAC uses (2) 8-32 UNC mounting screws and the TPS uses (2) M4 x 0.7 screws.

5. Will a 102mm throttle body automatically increase horsepower?

Not necessarily. The larger bore removes a potential airflow restriction, but the engine must be capable of using the additional airflow. The greatest benefit is typically seen when the existing throttle body has become a restriction in the overall engine combination.
