The Wide Open Design Tube Trailing Arm – 2.5" x 40" DOM is a rugged, versatile DIY trailing arm kit engineered for high performance off-road suspension systems. Built around a 2.5" O.D. x 0.25" wall DOM steel tube and paired with a precision machined 7075 aluminum internal insert, this kit delivers exceptional strength, reduced weight, and maximum articulation.

Designed to work seamlessly with coil-over and bypass shock systems, the kit features premium suspension hardware: a 1.25" shank x 1" bolt rod end up front and a heavy duty chromoly bearing at the rear. Custom high misalignment spacers are included to unlock extreme articulation while maintaining durability and control.

Tech Insight

This trailing arm kit blends the brute strength of thick wall DOM tubing with the weight savings and rigidity of a 7075 aluminum insert. The result is a suspension arm that resists bending under extreme loads while remaining responsive over rough terrain. Dual mounting holes allow flexibility for shock and sway bar placement, and the premium rod end, chromoly bearing, and high misalignment spacers ensure smooth articulation without sacrificing reliability.
