WOD LS Engine Mount Plates (Pair) - GM Gen III & Gen IV
WA121063
The WOD LS Engine Mount Plates provide a strong, weld-on foundation for mounting any GM Gen III or Gen IV LS engine into a custom chassis. Precision laser cut from 1/4" high-strength steel, these engine mount plates are designed to fit the entire LS engine family while giving builders complete freedom to fabricate custom engine mounts, tube structures, or boxed brackets that position the engine exactly where it's needed.
Unlike fixed bolt-on swap mounts, these universal weld-on plates allow unlimited flexibility for custom builds while maintaining the factory LS engine mounting pattern. Whether you're building a rock crawler, rock bouncer, Ultra4 race car, prerunner, hot rod, drift car, or custom LS swap, these are the same engine mount plates used in Wide Open Design's in-house chassis builds and proven under real-world off-road abuse.
Includes:
- (2) WOD LS Engine Mount Plates (Sold as a Pair)
Note: These are weld-on fabrication components intended for custom engine mount fabrication. Welding, mounting hardware, and final engine positioning are required.

FAQ
Why use weld-on LS engine mount plates?
Universal weld-on LS engine mount plates allow builders to position the engine exactly where the chassis requires rather than being limited by fixed aftermarket swap mounts. This flexibility makes it easier to optimize driveline angles, firewall clearance, steering shaft routing, oil pan clearance, suspension geometry, and overall weight distribution.
Precision laser-cut for accurate fitment
Each plate is precision laser cut to ensure accurate mounting hole placement and consistent dimensions. This provides a reliable foundation for custom fabrication while ensuring proper alignment to the factory LS engine mounting bosses.
Built for custom fabrication
These plates are designed to accept virtually any mounting style. Fabricators commonly weld DOM tubing, boxed steel structures, or custom brackets directly to the plates to create engine mounts tailored specifically to each vehicle's chassis and drivetrain layout.
Proven in demanding off-road applications
These are the same LS engine mount plates used in Wide Open Design's turnkey chassis builds. They've been proven through rock crawling, rock bouncing, Ultra4 competition, and years of demanding off-road use where engine mount strength, durability, and precise engine placement are critical.
