The Xlerator 3" Stainless Steel Muffler gives off-road builders a compact exhaust solution with a controlled sound at idle and a stronger performance tone when the engine is under load. Its 14" body and 3" inlet/outlet configuration make it well suited for custom exhaust systems where chassis space is limited and excessive exhaust noise can make a long day on the trail miserable.
This is the style of muffler we use at Wide Open Design when we want an off-road vehicle to sound good without being unnecessarily loud all the time. Why does muffler choice matter on an off-road vehicle?

A properly selected muffler keeps the vehicle more comfortable at idle and lower RPM while still allowing the engine to develop a strong exhaust note under throttle.
