The Radflo 2.5 Bypass Shock with Remote Reservoir is designed for drivers who demand more suspension control than a traditional coilover shock can provide. Built around a 2.5" shock body, heavy-duty 7/8" shaft, four externally adjustable bypass tubes, and a large remote reservoir, this shock delivers the tunability and performance required for aggressive off-road driving, rock bouncing, Ultra4 racing, prerunning, and high-performance trail rigs.

Unlike standard hydraulic shock absorbers, a bypass shock allows different damping characteristics throughout the suspension travel. This gives builders and tuners the ability to create a softer ride in rough terrain while increasing control near full compression and extension.

The four external bypass tubes allow suspension tuning without disassembling the shock, making it easier to dial in ride quality, bottom-out resistance, chassis control, and overall suspension performance for your specific vehicle.

When paired with Radflo coilovers and properly tuned suspension geometry, the Radflo 2.5 4-Tube Bypass Shock helps transform a capable off-road vehicle into a highly controlled suspension system capable of handling aggressive terrain and repeated impacts.

Includes:

  • (1) Radflo 2.5 4-Tube Bypass Shock
  • Remote Reservoir
  • Universal Spherical Bearing & Mounting Hardware

Availability Note: As the #1 stocking warehouse for Radflo Performance Shocks, we maintain one of the largest inventories of Radflo coilovers and springs in the industry. While many popular shock configurations are available for immediate shipment, certain coilovers, custom valving packages, and special-order suspension components may require 4–6 weeks for production and delivery.

Tech Insight

1. What is the difference between a bypass shock and a coilover shock?

A coilover supports vehicle weight using a spring while providing basic damping control. A bypass shock is designed to tune suspension performance throughout the travel range, providing additional control over compression, rebound, and bottom-out resistance.

2. Why does this shock have four bypass tubes?

The four external bypass tubes create separate damping zones throughout the shock stroke. This allows tuners to adjust ride quality, chassis control, and impact management without disassembling the shock.

3. Do bypass shocks replace coilovers?

No. In most suspension systems, bypass shocks work alongside coilovers. The coilover supports the vehicle while the bypass shock provides additional tuning and control.

4. What vehicles benefit most from a 2.5 bypass shock?

These shocks are commonly used on rock bouncers, Ultra4 race cars, prerunners, off-road race trucks, and high-performance trail rigs where suspension tuning and impact control are critical.

5. Are Radflo 2.5 Bypass Shocks rebuildable?

Yes. Radflo bypass shocks are fully rebuildable and serviceable, allowing long-term maintenance and suspension tuning as vehicle requirements change.
