The Crane Axle 35-Spline Dana 60 Kingpin Drive Flange Kit replaces traditional locking hubs with a fixed drive flange designed for high-abuse front axle applications. Built for GM and Ford Kingpin Dana 60 wheel hubs with 35-spline outer axle shafts, this kit creates a direct mechanical connection between the axle shaft and wheel hub without the internal engagement mechanism of a locking hub.

The drive pucks are precision machined from heat-treated 8620 chromoly steel for strength and spline durability under high torque loads. Black anodized 6061 aluminum caps use O-ring seals to help protect the drive flange components from mud, water, and debris. For rock crawlers, rock bouncers, competition buggies, and other hard-use Dana 60 builds, this is a simple, serviceable solution where dependable axle engagement matters more than the ability to unlock the front hubs.

Tech Insight

Locking hubs give you the ability to disconnect the front axle shafts from the wheel hubs, but that also requires an internal engagement mechanism. In high-abuse applications with large tires, aggressive throttle, and heavy drivetrain loads, those additional components can become a weak point.

A drive flange takes a simpler approach. The 35-spline puck provides a fixed mechanical connection between the outer axle shaft and wheel hub, eliminating the locking mechanism and keeping the front axle permanently engaged. That makes drive flanges a strong choice for dedicated off-road vehicles where reliability and consistent engagement are more important than being able to unlock the hubs for street driving.
