Crane Axle Revolution GM 14-Bolt Inner Axle Seal Kit - 30/35 Spline
CAREV14
The Crane Axle Revolution GM 14-Bolt Inner Axle Seal Kit is designed to properly seal GM 14-Bolt steering axle assemblies using 30 spline or 35 spline axle shafts. This system replaces the factory carrier bearing preload spanners with precision-machined seal housings that integrate a common Dana 60 inner axle seal, creating a more stable and reliable sealing solution for front steer 14-Bolt applications.
By relocating the seal inward near the differential where axle shaft movement is minimized, the Revolution system improves long-term sealing performance and helps reduce fluid leakage and contamination entry. The use of a standard Dana 60 inner seal also simplifies future maintenance and replacement, making trail repairs and service easier compared to custom seal arrangements.

Tech Insight
Traditional GM 14-Bolt housings were not originally designed for steering axle use, which often creates sealing challenges once axle shafts begin cycling through large steering angles and suspension travel. Standard sealing methods can struggle with shaft movement and housing contamination in extreme off-road environments.
The Revolution system relocates the sealing surface inward near the carrier where shaft movement is significantly reduced. This creates a more stable sealing environment and improves long-term reliability in high-articulation steering axle applications. Using a common Dana 60 inner seal also improves serviceability by allowing replacements to be sourced easily when needed.
