The Radflo 2.5 Air Shock with a massive 1.625" (1-5/8") shaft is built for serious off-road performance where strength, tunability, and serviceability matter. Designed for custom suspension systems, rock crawlers, ultra4 builds, and high-performance trail rigs, this 2.5 diameter air shock provides controlled damping and adjustable spring rate in a compact package.

Engineered with velocity-sensitive deflective disc valving and PTFE-coated bronze rod guides, these shocks deliver smooth response while minimizing friction and wear. The SSID alloy steel body with clear cadmium plating ensures durability in harsh environments, while CNC-machined 6061 aluminum components keep weight optimized without sacrificing strength.

Each shock is fully rebuildable and commonly custom-valved to suit specific vehicle weight, geometry, and intended use.

Tech Insight

Air shocks combine damping and spring rate into a single compact unit, making them ideal for lightweight custom builds and high-articulation setups. The large 1.625 shaft dramatically increases strength and reduces shaft deflection under extreme side loads — a major advantage in rock crawling and aggressive off-road use.

Because air shocks rely on internal nitrogen pressure to provide spring force, correct tuning of pressure and valving is critical. Custom valving ensures the shock matches your vehicle’s weight bias, suspension geometry, and driving style for predictable control on and off the trail.
