Why choose flat panel tabs?
Flat panel tabs allow body panels and covers to mount directly against the chassis without the stand-off created by winged tube tabs, producing a cleaner appearance and tighter panel fit.
When should I choose these over NutSert tabs?
These tabs are ideal when you have access to both sides of the panel and don't mind using a traditional bolt and lock nut. They are simple, lightweight, and economical.
When are NutSert tabs a better option?
If the back side of the panel is difficult to reach or the panel will be removed frequently for maintenance, the NutSert version allows bolts to thread directly into the mounting tab for faster service.
Can these be welded to tubing?
Yes. Although designed primarily for flat surfaces, they can also be welded to tubing or other steel structures wherever a flat mounting point is required.
Are these tabs pre-threaded?
No. These tabs feature a 3/8" clearance hole and are intended for traditional through-bolt mounting. If you prefer integrated threads, choose the WOD Flat Panel Tabs with pre-installed 1/4"-20 NutSerts.
