The RCV Ultimate OEM Replacement 2.5 Ton Rockwell CV Axle Set is a direct, bolt-in upgrade for factory 2.5-ton Rockwell axles originally equipped with U-joint axle shafts. These axles replace the OEM U-joint design with RCV’s proven constant velocity (CV) architecture, delivering dramatically increased strength, smoother power delivery, and superior reliability under extreme load.
Independent testing has shown RCV Ultimate CV Axles to be twice as strong as OEM shafts, maintaining full strength at both straight and extreme steering angles—exactly where U-joints are at their weakest.This OEM-replacement configuration uses 16 spline inner shafts at the differential and 40 spline at the CV joint inner race, preserving factory compatibility while significantly upgrading durability.
