The Wide Open Design Universal Rear Axle Truss is a 1/4" thick steel reinforcement designed to increase the rigidity and strength of your rear axle housing. The precision cut, contoured fit ensures maximum weld contact for heavy duty off-road and high performance use.

Designed as a universal rear truss, it works with most common axle housings, including Dana 44, 60, 70, 80, and GM 14-bolt setups. This makes it an ideal solution for custom axle builds, trail rigs, rock crawlers, and specialized builds where other trusses would fail under stress.

Rear axle housings are subjected to constant torque loads, suspension forces, and impact stress in off-road environments. These components are essential for preventing "smiling" (permanent bending) of the axle tubes or shearing at the plug welds where the tubes meet the differential housing. By integrating a pinion guard and tie-in on GM 14-bolt, you effectively turn the entire assembly into a rigid, boxed structure that can handle high-torque climbs and hard landings.
