The Crane Axle GM 14-Bolt Weld-On Disc Brake Brackets provide the mounting foundation for converting a GM 14-Bolt full-float rear axle from factory drum brakes to a GM 3/4-ton disc brake setup. Made from 3/8" steel, the brackets are designed to weld directly to compatible 3.5" axle tubes and position the calipers around common GM 3/4-ton brake components.

The weld-on design gives fabricators control over final caliper position and works well for factory 14-Bolt housings, axle swaps, and custom off-road axle builds. Converting to disc brakes can remove much of the weight and complexity of the original drum assemblies while simplifying wheel-end service on trail rigs, rock crawlers, tow rigs, and custom 4x4 builds.

Mock up the hubs, rotors, calipers, and pads before final welding. Center the caliper over the rotor and verify clearance for the caliper body, bleeder, brake hose, wheel, and surrounding suspension components.

Does this conversion retain a parking brake?
