The SPAL 14" Electric Radiator Puller Fan delivers high airflow and reliable cooling performance for demanding automotive, racing, and off-road applications. Producing up to 1,864 CFM, this 12-volt curved-blade puller fan is well suited for radiators, oil coolers, heat exchangers, and compact cooling packages where consistent airflow is critical to controlling engine temperature.
After testing multiple electric fans across the market, this SPAL 14" puller fan delivered the best overall results we have seen in this size. Because of that real-world performance, it is the fan used in the WOD 31" x 15.5" x 3" Dual Pass Radiator Combo for LS and LT cooling systems, including -16 AN radiator applications.
SPAL's curved-blade design helps provide strong airflow with reduced operating noise, while the sealed IP68-rated motor protects against dust and water intrusion. Tech Insight & FAQ
Electric fan performance depends on more than the advertised free-air CFM rating. Radiator core thickness, fin density, shroud coverage, fan depth, motor strength, and airflow restrictions all affect how much air the fan can pull through the cooling system under real operating conditions.

Why use a puller fan instead of a pusher fan?
A puller fan mounted behind the radiator generally moves air more efficiently because it draws air through the entire core and works with natural airflow at vehicle speed. Proper shroud design is still important for maximizing core coverage.
Why does shroud design matter?
A well-designed shroud helps the fan pull air through a larger portion of the radiator instead of only through the area directly in front of the blades. Better core coverage improves cooling consistency at idle and low vehicle speed.
Is the IP68 rating important for off-road use?
Yes. An IP68-rated motor is sealed against dust and water intrusion, which is especially valuable in mud, rain, water crossings, race conditions, and other harsh off-road environments.
