The Crane Axle 40-Spline Drive Flange Kit for 2005+ Ford Super Duty Dana 60 provides a solid drive connection between a compatible 40-spline outer axle shaft and the Super Duty unit-bearing wheel end. Designed for dedicated off-road axle builds, the alloy steel drive pucks replace the factory-style selectable hub components with a simple, permanently engaged drive flange system built for rock crawlers, rock bouncers, trail buggies, and other high-load applications.
The 40-spline design gives builders a large, strong spline interface at the outer wheel end while eliminating the internal engagement mechanism found in a locking hub. Each kit is machined and assembled in the USA and finished with black-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum caps to protect the wheel-end assembly and provide a clean finished installation.

A drive flange creates a solid connection between the outer axle shaft and wheel hub. Unlike a selectable locking hub, there is no lock or unlock position—the axle shaft remains mechanically connected to the wheel end.
Drive flanges eliminate the internal locking mechanism found in selectable hubs. For dedicated off-road vehicles that do not need to disconnect the front axle at the wheel, the simpler design removes unnecessary engagement components from the wheel end.
This kit requires compatible 40-spline outer axle shafts. It is not designed to convert a stock outer axle shaft to 40-spline by itself.
