The WOD TC Pump Mount Kit for GM LS Engines provides a clean, compact way to mount a TC or Type II power steering pump in the factory A/C compressor location. Designed for LS-powered off-road vehicles, tube chassis builds, engine swaps, and custom applications, this low-mount configuration keeps the pump tucked close to the block while maintaining proper belt alignment and service access.

Made in the USA and finished in a durable powder coat, the kit includes the pump mount, required installation hardware, and a matched 4-rib serpentine belt. The factory A/C compressor must be removed to use this mount.

Includes:

  • (1) Powder-Coated TC / Type II Power Steering Pump Mount
  • Mounting Hardware for the Engine Block and Pump
  • (1) 4-Rib Serpentine Belt

Note: Power steering pump, pulley, reservoir, hoses, and fittings are sold separately. This mount requires removal of the factory A/C compressor.

FAQ

Why mount the steering pump in the A/C compressor location?

Removing the factory A/C compressor opens a low, compact mounting location close to the engine block. This keeps the power steering pump out of the upper accessory area and can simplify packaging in custom chassis and off-road builds.

What type of pump does this bracket fit?

This mount is designed for TC or GM Type II power steering pumps. These compact pumps are commonly used in aftermarket accessory systems, performance steering setups, Hydro-Boost systems, and custom LS installations.

Why use a low-mount pump configuration?

A low-mount setup can reduce accessory clutter and improve clearance around intake plumbing, cylinder heads, and upper chassis structure. It may also help keep the vehicle's center of gravity lower compared with high-mount accessory arrangements.

Does this kit retain factory air conditioning?

No. The bracket installs in the factory A/C compressor position, so the compressor must be removed.

Why is belt alignment important?

Correct pulley alignment prevents belt tracking problems, premature belt wear, pump bearing load, and thrown belts. Always verify pulley offset and belt alignment before operating the engine.

What additional components are required?

You will need a compatible TC / Type II power steering pump, pulley, remote reservoir, hydraulic hoses, fittings, and the remaining components required for your steering or Hydro-Boost system.
