At the heart of the system is the GM High Flow P-Pump, a direct bolt-in replacement for factory P-series Saginaw pumps originally installed on GM, Jeep, or Dodge engines. This complete kit includes the 200CC orbital valve, cylinder, clamps, hoses, fittings, and required hardware for a clean installation. Everything is matched and engineered to work together, eliminating guesswork when building a full hydraulic steering system for Rockwell equipped rigs.

Includes:

  • Full Hydraulic Accessory Kit (200CC orbital, 3/4" rod, 4.75" stem)
  • Full Hydraulic Steering Pump Kit (GM High Flow P-Pump, without Hydroboost)
  • Cylinder Assist Kit (Double-ended 3.0" x 9.0" cylinder, 4 clamps)
  • Complete hose and fitting kit
  • Mounting hardware

Specifications
  • Designed specifically for 2.5-ton Rockwell axles
  • Steering Cylinder: Double-ended, 3.0" bore x 9.0" stroke
  • Approximately 3.9 turns lock-to-lock
  • Orbital Valve: 200CC
  • Pump: SP1405 GM High Flow P-Series Pump
  • Direct bolt-in replacement for factory P-series Saginaw pumps
  • Includes cylinder clamps and mounting hardware
  • Complete hose and plumbing kit included
  • Built for extreme off-road and competition use

Fitment
  • Engine: GM V8 (1980 and newer)
  • Pump Bracket: Factory P-series Saginaw pump bracket setups
  • Axles: 2.5-ton Rockwell axles
  • Designed for full hydraulic steering systems only
  • Requires proper orbital valve mounting and custom plumbing
  • Verify clearance for cylinder clamps on axle housing

Tech Insight

Rockwell axles place significantly higher steering loads on hydraulic systems compared to Dana 60 or similar axles. The 3.0 bore cylinder paired with a 200CC orbital provides the volume and leverage necessary to maintain steering authority under extreme tire and terrain resistance.

The SP1405 high-flow P-pump is engineered to maintain consistent hydraulic output at low RPM, which is critical during technical crawling and competition scenarios. Proper system bleeding, plumbing routing, and secure mounting are essential for long-term reliability in high load environments.
