Crane Axle Dana 44 Inner C’s are engineered for high-angle steering, large tire setups, and a strong front axle while maintaining proper geometry and fitment. Whether you're replacing bent inner knuckles or starting a fresh axle build, these U.S.-made inner C’s are cast and precision machined from premium 8620 chromoly steel for superior durability over OEM cast iron.

These Dana 44 Inner C’s feature a hardened outer surface for impact resistance and a ductile core for long term fatigue strength under heavy loads. The 2.75" bore size ensures compatibility with standard Dana 44 axle tubes, and they can be MIG or TIG welded for a secure, permanent installation. Fully compatible with Crane Axle outer knuckles as well as most aftermarket and OEM options, these inner C’s are the ideal upgrade.

  • 2.75" Standard Bore

Tech Insight

Crane Axle’s Dana 44 Inner C’s outperform OE cast iron knuckles by using 8620 chromoly steel — a material known for its high carbon content, exceptional toughness, and ability to withstand extreme steering and suspension loads. This alloy provides a hardened outer shell for impact resistance and a ductile core for superior fatigue life, making it ideal for off-road abuse, high-angle steering setups, and heavy tire/wheel combinations.

If you're straightening a bent axle, rebuilding from scratch, or upgrading to aftermarket inner knuckles, this Inner C set ensures your foundation is as strong as the rest of your build.
