Radflo 2.0 Smooth Body Shock w/ Remote Reservoir - 7/8″ Shaft
5SR-005-00
The Radflo 2.0 Smooth Body Shock with Remote Reservoir is designed for builders looking for a compact, lightweight, and highly effective suspension damper for off-road vehicles, trail rigs, rock crawlers, prerunners, and custom chassis builds.
Unlike a coilover shock, a smooth body shock does not carry vehicle weight through a spring mounted directly to the shock. Instead, smooth body shocks are commonly used as dedicated dampers, secondary shocks, or suspension control devices where the suspension system already utilizes separate springs, coilovers, torsion bars, or air shocks.
Built around Radflo's proven 2.0” shock body, heavy-duty 7/8-inch shaft, and remote reservoir design, this shock provides excellent suspension control while maintaining a compact package that fits easily into tight chassis layouts.
The remote reservoir increases oil capacity and cooling performance, helping reduce shock fade during extended trail rides, technical rock crawling, and aggressive off-road driving.
Includes:
- (1) Radflo 2.0 Smooth Body Shock
- Remote Reservoir
- Universal Spherical Bearing & Mounting Hardware
Sold Individually.
Availability Note: As the #1 stocking warehouse for Radflo Performance Shocks, we maintain one of the largest inventories of Radflo coilovers and springs in the industry. While many popular shock configurations are available for immediate shipment, certain coilovers, custom valving packages, and special-order suspension components may require 4–6 weeks for production and delivery.

Tech Insight
1. What is a smooth body shock?
A smooth body shock is a shock absorber that does not have a threaded spring collar like a coilover. It is commonly used as a damper in suspension systems that utilize separate springs or as a secondary shock for additional suspension control.
2. What is the advantage of a smooth body shock?
Smooth body shocks are lighter, more compact, and often easier to package than coilovers. They provide excellent damping performance while allowing greater flexibility in suspension design.
3. Why choose a 2.0 smooth body shock instead of a 2.5 or 3.0?
A 2.0 shock is ideal for lighter vehicles and recreational off-road use. It provides excellent ride quality and suspension control while maintaining a smaller, lighter package.
4. What does the remote reservoir do?
The remote reservoir increases oil capacity and improves cooling performance, helping reduce shock fade and maintain consistent damping performance during aggressive off-road use.
5. Are Radflo smooth body shocks rebuildable?
Yes. Radflo smooth body shocks are fully rebuildable and serviceable, allowing long-term maintenance and tuning to keep your suspension performing at its best.
