ARBRD173
The ARB Dana 70/80 Air Locker is engineered for applications running numerically lower gear ratios, making it ideal for heavy duty tow rigs, expedition vehicles, and mixed use off-road builds.
With the flip of a dash mounted switch, compressed air activates the pneumatically operated locking mechanism inside the differential, preventing the axle shafts from rotating independently. This fully locks both wheels to the ring gear for maximum traction when needed. When disengaged, the differential operates like a standard open unit, allowing smooth handling, reduced driveline wear, and safer operation.

Important Note: For Dana 80 applications, the Air Locker flange holes must be drilled or reamed to accept 9/16" bolts. Always consult your gear supplier to confirm correct application.
ARB’s patented locking system supports the side gear teeth directly, providing increased torque handling exactly when needed. The two-piece design minimizes moving parts while maximizing strength and reliability. A steel reinforced, elastomer bonded annular seal has been proven to withstand 20,000+ engagement cycles in extreme climates.
The high speed Air Locker is optimized for lower numerical gear ratios, making it a strong choice for highway driven rigs that still demand dependable off-road traction.
