Convert your Dana 80 axle to full-time lockup with a heavy-duty steel spool designed for 35-spline builds. This spool replaces the factory differential carrier, permanently locking both axle shafts together for 100% torque delivery to each wheel. It’s a simple, reliable solution for rigs that demand maximum traction in straight-line applications like drag racing, mud trucks, and dedicated off-road builds.

Machined from high-quality 8620 steel and heat treated for strength, this spool is built to handle extreme load and torque. Designed for Dana 80 axles with 4.10 and numerically higher gear ratios, it provides consistent performance without the complexity of a locker or limited slip. Ideal for builds where durability and traction take priority over street manners.

Includes:

  • (1) Dana 80 Steel Spool (35-spline)

Tech Insight

A full spool eliminates differential action by permanently locking both axle shafts together. This ensures maximum traction but also forces both wheels to rotate at the same speed at all times, which can cause tire scrub and driveline stress during turns.

Because of this, spools are best suited for straight-line or loose terrain applications where traction is critical. Proper gear setup and bearing preload are still required during installation to ensure long-term durability.
