The Crane Axle Magnum Knuckle Aluminum Unit Bearing Adapter is designed to integrate 2005+ Ford Super Duty unit bearings with Crane Axle Magnum Outer Knuckle System for high-strength off-road steering axle applications. Engineered for rock crawling, Ultra4 racing, and custom fabricated axle builds, this adapter combines the compact packaging and serviceability of modern unit bearings with the strength required for large tires, high horsepower, and aggressive steering loads.
Machined from lightweight aluminum, these adapters reduce unsprung weight while simplifying wheel-end maintenance compared to traditional spindle systems. The design also allows complete RCV Big Bell axle shaft assemblies to be installed without disassembling the boot, improving serviceability during both assembly and trail repairs. In addition to Magnum knuckle systems, these adapters can also be used in modified 2.5-ton Rockwell steering applications.

Fitment Notes:
Modern unit bearing systems offer several advantages over traditional spindle-based wheel ends, including reduced maintenance, more compact packaging, and improved wheel-end rigidity. In high-load off-road applications, unit bearings also eliminate many of the service variables associated with adjustable wheel bearing preload systems.
The Crane Axle adapter system combines these benefits with increased serviceability by allowing complete RCV Big Bell axle shafts to slide directly through the adapter without disassembling the CV assembly. This reduces downtime during assembly and field repairs while supporting heavy-duty steering systems used in rock crawling and competition environments.
