The Art Carr - Winters SideWinder Gated Shifter for Allison LCT 1000, 2000 & 2400 Transmissions uses a mechanical guard bar and stepped steel gate to provide positive, controlled gear selection. Unlike shifters that rely on spring-loaded levers, the SideWinder uses physical gate positions to guide each shift, reducing jam points and giving the driver a more direct, repeatable feel during street, trail, racing, and off-road use.
The gate incorporates a physical safety barrier that prevents the shift rod from moving directly into Reverse from a forward gear. Reverse must be intentionally selected through the proper gate path. With Stock, Reverse, RockGate, and Reverse RockGate patterns available, the SideWinder can be matched to the transmission setup and driving style rather than forcing every Allison application into the same shift pattern.
