The Winters Park Safety Switch Kit adds an essential layer of protection to any off-road buggy or race vehicle running a Winters Shifter. When installed correctly, this safety switch ensures your vehicle can only be started when the shifter is in the Park position, helping prevent accidental movement, roll-offs, or drivetrain damage during startup.

Whether you're rock bouncing, trail riding, or staging on the race line, this simple upgrade dramatically increases safety for you and everyone around your rig. The switch installs cleanly onto any compatible Winters Shifter and integrates directly into your starter circuit.

Tech Insight

Starting an off-road vehicle while it’s accidentally in gear can cause immediate and dangerous movement—especially in high-horsepower rock bouncers or Ultra4 machines. The Winters Park Safety Switch eliminates that risk by interrupting the starter circuit until the shifter is physically locked into Park.

Installation is intentionally simple: instead of sending the ignition wire straight from your start switch to the solenoid, you route it through the park switch, creating a reliable gatekeeping mechanism. This design minimizes wiring effort while maximizing operational safety on every start-up.
