The Art Carr - Winters SideWinder Lockout Shifter for GM Powerglide is designed specifically for the GM Powerglide automatic transmission, this lockout configuration features a mechanical reverse lockout system that makes it physically impossible to accidentally shift into reverse from any forward gear.

The shifter comes fully assembled in a standard Winters plastic console and typically includes a 5-foot (3 travel) double-clip push-pull cable and mounting hardware. Shifters are also available without a cable if a custom cable length is required.

The lockout version includes a neutral safety switch, ensuring the vehicle can only be started when the shifter is in Park — adding an essential layer of safety for competition vehicles.
