2.5 Remote Reservoir Coilover (x2) & Dual Rate Spring (x4) Package – 14" Travel
The 2.5 Remote Reservoir Coilover & Spring Package – 14" Travel combines two Radflo 2.5 remote reservoir coilovers with two Eibach 3.0" ID coilover springs for heavier and more aggressive off-road builds that need increased damping capacity without moving into a bypass shock system. The larger 2.5" shock body provides greater oil volume and heat capacity than a 2.0" coilover, while 14" of travel provides the suspension movement needed for rock crawlers, rock bouncers, trail buggies, and custom tube chassis vehicles.
This package uses one spring per coilover for a straightforward suspension setup with adjustable preload and selectable spring rates. Remote reservoirs add fluid capacity and separate the nitrogen charge from the main shock body, helping maintain consistent damping during repeated impacts, extended trail use, and aggressive suspension cycling. It is a strong choice when vehicle weight, tire size, speed, or terrain demands more shock capacity while keeping the suspension package relatively simple.
Includes:
- (2) Radflo 2.5 Remote Reservoir Coilover Shocks – 14" Travel
- (2) Eibach 3.0" ID Coilover Springs – One Spring Per Shock
- Universal Spherical Bearings
- Shock Mounting Hardware
Spring rates are selected when ordering.
Availability: Wide Open Design stocks a large selection of Radflo shocks and Eibach springs for immediate shipment. Some shock configurations, spring rates, custom valving packages, and special-order components may require additional production time.

Fitment
Best Suited For:
- Rock crawlers
- Rock bouncers
- Trail buggies
- Custom tube chassis vehicles
- Long-travel linked suspension systems
- Heavier off-road vehicles
- Builds requiring greater shock capacity and heat management
Fitment Notes:
- Universal package for custom front or rear suspension applications
- 14" travel requires adequate chassis, axle, tire, and suspension link clearance throughout the complete suspension cycle
- Verify 35.43" extended and 21.50" compressed mounting lengths before ordering
- Spring rate must be selected around sprung weight, suspension geometry, shock angle, and desired ride height
- Remote reservoir routing must remain clear of tires, exhaust, links, and other moving components
- Proper bump stop placement is required to prevent the coilover from becoming the suspension travel limiter
FAQ
Why choose a 2.5" coilover instead of a 2.0" coilover?
The larger 2.5" shock body provides increased oil volume and damping capacity. This makes it better suited to heavier vehicles, larger tires, aggressive terrain, repeated impacts, and applications that generate more shock heat.
Why choose 14" of shock travel?
A 14" coilover provides additional suspension movement for long-travel linked suspension systems and high-articulation off-road builds. The chassis and suspension must have enough room to properly use the additional travel without creating interference or allowing the shock to become the suspension stop.
Is this a dual-rate spring package?
No. This package includes two coilovers and two springs, with one 3.0" ID spring installed on each shock. It is a single-spring coilover configuration rather than a dual-rate spring stack.
How do I select the correct spring rate?
Spring rate should be selected using sprung vehicle weight, weight distribution, suspension motion ratio, shock angle, desired ride height, and intended use. Learn how to calculate coilover spring rates here.
What does the remote reservoir add to this package?
The remote reservoir increases fluid and nitrogen capacity outside the main shock body, helping manage heat and maintain consistent damping during repeated suspension cycling and extended off-road use.
Are the shocks rebuildable and revalvable?
Yes. The shocks are fully rebuildable and revalvable, allowing them to be serviced or retuned as vehicle weight, suspension geometry, or intended use changes.
