The Rugged Radios GMR45 High Power GMRS Mobile Radio provides vehicle-to-vehicle communication for trail rides, overland trips, and off-road group travel. Its 45-watt transmitter, accessible hand microphone, and backlit display make it useful for coordinating obstacles, route changes, and stops from a mounted radio in your Jeep, truck, UTV, or custom off-road vehicle. It can also serve a properly equipped base-camp installation with a suitable DC power supply and antenna system.
The GMR45 includes a built-in Rugged Ready 5-pin pigtail for connecting compatible intercoms, headsets, and accessories. Adjustable display color, brightness, squelch, and tone settings let you configure the radio for the installation, while channel scan and eight repeater channels provide additional communication options. The supplied universal bracket and fused power cable cover the basic mounting and power connections; select a compatible GMRS antenna, coax cable, and any equipment-specific connection cables separately. Communication range depends on terrain, antenna placement, obstructions, and the other radio’s installation.
