The 2.0 Remote Reservoir Coilover & Spring Package – 12" Travel combines a pair of compact 2.0" remote reservoir coilovers with two 12" coilover springs for custom rock crawlers, trail buggies, Jeeps, and lightweight off-road chassis. The 12" travel configuration provides useful suspension movement without the packaging requirements of a larger 2.5" shock, making it a strong choice for builds where chassis space, suspension weight, and predictable trail performance all matter.

The remote reservoirs add oil capacity and help manage shock temperature during extended trail use, while the 7/8" shafts and rebuildable velocity-sensitive valving provide dependable suspension control over rocks, ledges, washboard, and mixed terrain. The included springs allow ride height and spring support to be selected around vehicle weight and suspension geometry, giving builders a complete two-corner coilover package without adding unnecessary complexity.

Includes:

  • (2) Radflo 2.0 Remote Reservoir Coilover Shocks – 12" Travel
  • (2) Eibach 2.5" ID Coilover Springs
  • (2) Remote Reservoirs
  • Universal Spherical Bearings
  • Shock Mounting Hardware

Important Notes:

  • Package includes two springs total – one spring per coilover
  • This is not a dual-rate spring package
  • Spring rate must be selected for vehicle weight, suspension geometry, and intended use

Availability: Wide Open Design stocks a large selection of Radflo shocks and coilover springs for immediate shipment. Some spring rates, custom valving configurations, and special-order components may require additional production time.

Fitment

Best Suited For:

  • Rock crawlers
  • Trail buggies
  • Jeep suspension builds
  • Lightweight custom tube chassis vehicles
  • Recreational off-road builds
  • Linked suspension systems requiring 12" coilover travel

Fitment Notes:

  • Universal package for custom suspension applications
  • 12" shock travel requires sufficient chassis and suspension clearance through full compression and droop
  • Verify the 31.50" extended length and 19.53" collapsed length against the suspension design before ordering
  • Spring rate must be selected around sprung vehicle weight, suspension motion ratio, shock angle, and intended ride height
  • Reservoir location and hose routing must remain clear of tires, suspension links, exhaust, and other moving components
  • Proper bump stop placement is required to prevent the shock from becoming the suspension travel limiter
  • Custom shock tabs or chassis mounts may be required

FAQ

Who is a 2.0" 12" travel coilover package best suited for?

A 2.0" coilover provides a compact, relatively lightweight suspension package that works well for rock crawlers, trail buggies, Jeeps, and other custom off-road vehicles where sustained high-speed shock temperatures are not the primary concern. The 12" travel option provides useful suspension movement without requiring the packaging space of longer 14", 16", or 18" shocks.

Why use a remote reservoir on a 2.0" coilover?

The remote reservoir increases the shock system's fluid and nitrogen capacity without requiring a larger shock body. The additional capacity helps manage heat and maintain more consistent damping during repeated suspension cycling while allowing the compact 2.0" shock body to fit into tighter chassis layouts.

How do I choose the correct spring rate?

Spring rate should be selected using the vehicle's sprung corner weight, suspension motion ratio, shock mounting angle, desired ride height, and intended use. Choosing spring rate based only on overall vehicle weight can result in incorrect ride height or suspension performance.

Is this a dual-rate coilover spring package?

No. This package includes two coilover shocks and two springs, providing one spring for each shock. Packages that include four springs can be configured as dual-rate systems using an upper and lower spring on each coilover.

Can these shocks be rebuilt or revalved later?

Yes. The shocks are rebuildable and revalvable, allowing damping characteristics to be changed as vehicle weight, suspension geometry, driving style, or intended terrain changes.

Can this package be used on the front or rear of a vehicle?

Yes. The package can be used in either front or rear custom suspension applications as long as the shock dimensions, spring rate, suspension geometry, and available travel are appropriate for that end of the vehicle.
