Radflo 2.0 Remote Reservoir Coilover Shock | Off-Road Suspension
5CR-005-00
The Radflo 2.0 Remote Reservoir Coilover Shock is a compact suspension option for Jeeps, rock crawlers, trail buggies, lightweight tube chassis vehicles, and custom trucks that need more heat capacity and damping consistency than a standard emulsion coilover. Available in 8", 10", 12", 14", 16", and 18" travel lengths, the 2.0" body and 7/8" shaft provide a lightweight package that fits well in tighter chassis layouts.
The remote reservoir increases oil capacity and helps manage shock temperature during extended trail use and repeated suspension cycling, while the rebuildable velocity-sensitive valving can be tuned around vehicle weight, suspension geometry, and intended use. Dual-rate spring hardware is included, allowing builders to configure the shock with separate upper and lower coil springs when a dual-rate setup is desired.
Includes:
- (1) Radflo 2.0 Remote Reservoir Coilover Shock
- Remote Reservoir
- Dual-Rate Spring Hardware
- Universal Spherical Bearings
- Mounting Hardware
Springs Sold Separately. Compatible coilover springs are available here.
Sold Individually.
Availability: Wide Open Design stocks a large selection of Radflo shocks and springs for immediate shipment. Some travel lengths, custom valving configurations, and special-order suspension components may require additional production time.

Fitment
Best Suited For:
- Jeep suspension builds
- Rock crawlers
- Trail buggies
- Lightweight tube chassis vehicles
- Custom trucks
- Recreational off-road vehicles
- Linked suspension systems
Fitment Notes:
- Universal coilover for custom suspension applications
- Select travel based on suspension geometry, available compression, and droop requirements
- Verify compressed length, extended length, mounting width, and chassis clearance before ordering
- Spring rate must be matched to vehicle weight, motion ratio, shock angle, and intended ride height
- Remote reservoir and hose routing must remain clear of tires, exhaust, suspension links, and other moving components
- Proper bump stop placement is required to prevent the shock from becoming the suspension travel limiter
- Custom shock tabs or chassis mounts may be required
FAQ
Why choose a remote reservoir coilover instead of an emulsion coilover?
A remote reservoir increases the shock's fluid and nitrogen capacity without requiring a larger shock body. The additional capacity helps manage heat and maintain more consistent damping during repeated suspension cycling and extended off-road use.
Who is a 2.0 remote reservoir coilover best suited for?
The compact 2.0" body works well in Jeeps, rock crawlers, lightweight buggies, trail rigs, and custom trucks where chassis space and suspension weight matter. Heavier vehicles or builds that see sustained high-speed abuse may benefit from stepping up to a larger 2.5" or 3.0" shock package.
Do these coilovers include springs?
No. Springs are sold separately so the correct spring rates can be selected for the vehicle's sprung weight, suspension geometry, shock angle, and intended use. Learn how to calculate coilover spring rates here.
Can this coilover be configured as a dual-rate setup?
Yes. Dual-rate spring hardware is included. A dual-rate configuration uses two springs on each coilover and requires the correct upper and lower spring rates, spring lengths, divider, and crossover setup for the suspension.
Can ride height be adjusted?
Yes. The threaded spring preload collar allows ride height and spring preload to be adjusted within the limits of the suspension design and selected spring package.
Can the shock be rebuilt or revalved?
Yes. The shock is fully rebuildable and revalvable, allowing damping characteristics to be changed as vehicle weight, suspension setup, or intended use changes.
