The Radflo 2.5 3-Tube Bypass Shock with Piggyback Reservoir delivers externally adjustable damping control in a compact package for rock crawlers, rock bouncers, trail rigs, Ultra4 cars, and custom off-road vehicles. The three bypass tubes allow damping to change through different portions of the shock travel, helping improve ride quality, traction, chassis control, and bottom-out resistance as terrain and suspension load change.

The piggyback reservoir mounts directly to the shock body, increasing oil capacity and heat management without requiring external reservoir hoses or separate reservoir mounts. This makes the 2.5" piggyback bypass a strong choice for builds where suspension tuning and cooling matter but chassis space and packaging are limited.

A piggyback reservoir mounts directly to the shock body, eliminating external reservoir hoses and separate reservoir mounts. It still increases oil capacity and helps manage heat, but requires enough chassis clearance around the shock body for the integrated reservoir.

What does a 3-tube bypass shock do?

A 3-tube bypass shock allows damping to be adjusted through different zones of the shock travel. This lets the shock react more freely in some portions of travel while increasing damping where additional chassis control or bottom-out resistance is needed.

When should I choose a bypass shock instead of a standard smooth-body shock?
