The RCV Ultimate Dana 60 CV Axle Set is the strongest and smoothest way to upgrade the factory front axle in your 1985–1988 Ford F-350. These high-strength constant velocity axles replace the original U-joint shafts—eliminating binding, improving steering, and delivering twice the strength of OEM.

Unlike traditional U-joints, which lose strength at full steering lock, RCV CV joints maintain consistent torque transfer at every angle. This results in smoother operation, better traction, and drastically reduced breakage when running oversized tires, deep gearing, lockers, or high-output engines.

Ideal for heavy-duty work trucks, big-block builds, restoration rigs, and off-road rigs alike, RCV axles require very little maintenance.

Tech Insight

The mid-1980s F-350 Dana 60 is a strong axle housing, but like all U-joint style front axles, the OEM shafts become a limiting factor. Under steering angle, U-joints bind, cause vibration, and lose substantial strength.
