The RockJock AntiRock Rear Sway Bar Kit from RockJock Off Road is a purpose built rear sway bar system for TJ Wrangler and TJ Wrangler Unlimited (LJ) platforms, engineered to increase articulation and off-road traction while keeping the chassis more composed on uneven terrain.

Designed as a direct replacement for the factory rear sway bar, the AntiRock system never needs disconnecting for trail use. The heart of the kit is a .800-inch diameter, 4340 heat treated chromoly torsion bar, paired with forged chromoly arms and Delrin bushings for strength, quiet operation, and long service life. While the kit bolts on at the frame, installation does require welding the supplied axle tabs to the rear axle housing.

Everything required for installation is included.

Kit Includes:

  • Sway Bar Torsion Bar (.800")
  • Fabricated Steel Frame Bracket (LH)
  • Fabricated Steel Frame Bracket (RH)
  • Forged Chromoly Sway Bar 15" Offset Arms (pair)

Important Notes

  • Body Lift: Installs easiest with a 1" body lift. Without a body lift, minor pinch-weld trimming under the rear tub is required.
  • Body Roll: Increased compared to factory sway bar; normal for AntiRock systems.
  • Body Trimming: Plastic inner fender liners and some inner wheelwell sheet metal must be trimmed for arm up-travel.
  • Welding Required: Axle tabs must be welded to the rear axle housing.
  • End Links: Included links are intended for ~4" lift; can be trimmed or replaced to suit.
  • Wheel & Tire Clearance: Designed around 15 × 8.5 wheels, 4.5" backspacing, and 35 × 12.50 tires. Other setups may require adjustments or wheel spacers.
  • Tight Clearance Tip: Thin 1/2"-20 nyloc nuts may be required on heim studs to allow trimming excess thread for tire clearance.
  • Frame Width Variation: Some vehicles may require CE-9901D-SP4 shim pack to fine-tune arm spacing.

Tech Insight

Rear AntiRock systems are tuned stiffer than front applications to improve stability under throttle while maintaining articulation. The .800-inch torsion bar offers a balanced rear rate for TJ/LJ rigs running common trail and crawler setups. Because TJ/LJ frames vary slightly in width from the factory, fine-tuning arm spacing may be required for perfect clearance.
