WOD Tall Shock & Suspension Mounting Tab
WA121095
The Wide Open Design Tall Lower Shock Tab is designed for mounting shocks and suspension components on top of axle tubes and other elevated mounting locations where additional height and clearance are required. The extended profile provides the flexibility to trim the tab to the exact height needed, making it ideal for custom suspension geometry and shock placement.
Precision laser cut from 1/4" high-strength plate steel, these weld-ready tabs provide consistent dimensions, accurate hole placement, and superior strength for demanding off-road applications. Whether you're building a rock crawler, Ultra4 race car, rock bouncer, or custom tube chassis, these are the same style of fabrication tabs trusted in Wide Open Design's in-house builds.
Includes:
- (1) WOD Tall Lower Shock Tab
Note: Two tabs are required to mount one shock or suspension component.

Tech Insight
Perfect for axle-mounted shocks
The Tall Lower Shock Tab is specifically designed for applications where shocks mount on top of an axle tube or other elevated mounting surface. The additional height makes it easier to achieve proper shock positioning while providing clearance for suspension links, brackets, and axle housings.
Trim to fit your suspension geometry
Rather than forcing builders to work around a fixed mounting height, these tabs are intentionally oversized so they can be trimmed to match your exact suspension design. This allows precise control over ride height, shock angle, and suspension travel.
Built for extreme off-road abuse
Manufactured from 1/4" high-strength steel, these tabs provide the strength needed to withstand repeated impacts, high suspension loads, and aggressive off-road driving in rock crawling, Ultra4 racing, and rock bouncing applications.
Precision fabrication saves time
Laser-cut construction delivers consistent dimensions and accurate hole placement, reducing fabrication time while ensuring proper shock alignment and long-term suspension performance.
