The Wide Open Design Dual Pass Radiator Combo Unit is our most compact cooling system option for tight chassis layouts, LS/LT swaps, and custom off-road builds where space is limited but cooling performance still matters. Measuring 27.5" x 15.5" x 3", this radiator combo is built around a dual-pass left configuration, TIG welded aluminum tanks, a soldered core, -16 AN fittings, and a clamp-style aluminum fan shroud mount.
Even with its smaller footprint, this combo is packed with serious airflow. We matched this radiator with dual high-output 12" SPAL electric fans rated at 1870 CFM each, giving the unit a combined airflow rating of 3740 CFM. The fan shroud is designed to cover as much of the core as possible for this radiator size, helping pull air through the core efficiently instead of only cooling directly behind the fans. This makes it a great option for LS engines, LT engines, V8 swaps, trail rigs, buggies, rock crawlers, and high-performance builds where packaging space is tight.

A dual-pass radiator routes coolant across the core twice before it exits the radiator. This gives the coolant more time in the core compared to a standard single-pass layout, which can help improve heat transfer in high-load off-road conditions. That matters in LS/LT swaps, buggies, crawlers, and trail rigs that spend time at low vehicle speed where fan airflow is doing most of the cooling work.
The WA04070 is a strong choice when a larger radiator combo simply will not fit. The dual 12" SPAL fans provide high airflow for the available core size, while the shroud helps pull air across as much of the radiator surface as possible. The clamp-style shroud mount also avoids traditional through-core mounting methods that can damage the radiator over time in rough terrain.
