WOD 1410 Driveshaft Builder Kit
WF03004
The WOD 1410 Driveshaft Builder Kit is designed for builders who need more strength than a traditional 1350 driveline while maintaining excellent driveline angles and articulation. For many one-ton Jeep builds, Ultra4 cars, rock crawlers, and trail buggies, the 1410 platform offers the ideal balance of strength, weight, serviceability, and component availability. Built using genuine Spicer 1410 driveline components, this DIY driveshaft kit allows fabricators to build a custom-length driveshaft tailored to their vehicle's wheelbase, suspension travel, and drivetrain configuration.
Many builders choose the 1410 series when upgrading from a 1350 driveline but do not require the added weight and capacity of a 1480 system and is often considered the sweet spot in off-road driveline performance. It provides a significant increase in torque capacity over a 1350 series driveline and delivers proven performance under demanding conditions. Pair this kit with the WOD 1410 Carrier Bearing Shaft Builder Kit, WOD Single Ended Carrier Bearing, Spicer 1410 Universal Joint & U-Bolt Kit, and matching Spicer 1410 Yoke 1.5" x 10 Spline to create a complete driveline system built for serious off-road abuse.

Tech Insight
What U-joints work with this driveshaft kit?
This kit is designed around standard 1410 series universal joints. We recommend genuine Spicer 1410 Universal Joint & U-Bolt Kits for maximum strength and reliability.
Is this driveshaft kit assembled and ready to install?
No. This is a DIY builder kit intended for experienced fabricators. Final tube cutting, fitment, welding, balancing, and assembly are required.
Is a 1410 driveshaft stronger than a 1350?
Yes. The 1410 series uses a wider universal joint and offers increased torque capacity while maintaining excellent articulation characteristics.
What tube size is recommended?
Most off-road builders choose 2.5" OD x .250" wall DOM tubing for its resistance to dents, twisting, and harsh off-road impacts.
What other components are commonly used with this kit?
Most builders pair this kit with:
- WOD 1410 Carrier Bearing Shaft Builder Kit
- WOD Single Ended Carrier Bearing
- Spicer 1410 Universal Joint & U-Bolt Kit
- Spicer 1410 Yoke 1.5" x 10 Spline
- GM 14-Bolt Pinion Guards
Should I choose a 1350, 1410, or 1480 driveshaft?
The 1410 series is often the ideal choice for one-ton Jeeps, rock crawlers, trail buggies, and Ultra4 vehicles. It offers more strength than a 1350 while maintaining excellent driveline angle capability and lower weight than a 1480.
