The Radflo 2.5 DRT Internal Bypass Coilover Shock combines position-sensitive internal bypass technology, remote reservoir performance, and compression adjustability in one compact suspension package. Radflo's Dynamic Ride Technology (DRT) uses both velocity-sensitive and position-sensitive damping to keep the suspension compliant over small rocks, roots, chatter, and trail obstacles while progressively increasing control deeper into the shock travel.

Unlike a conventional coilover that routes shock fluid through the piston throughout the entire stroke, Radflo DRT technology uses internal bypass circuits to control fluid flow based on piston position. This creates defined damping zones within the shock travel for improved small-bump compliance, traction, ride quality, and control during larger impacts.

Built for rock crawlers, Ultra4 cars, prerunners, Jeeps, trucks, UTVs, and custom off-road vehicles, the 2.5 DRT gives builders many of the advantages of a bypass shock without the external bypass tubes and additional packaging requirements.

How does an internal bypass shock differ from a standard coilover?

A standard coilover generates damping primarily through the piston and shim stack. An internal bypass shock adds fluid circuits that alter damping based on piston position. This allows the shock to remain more compliant through certain portions of its travel while increasing control as the suspension moves into higher-load zones.

What is the difference between an internal bypass and external bypass shock?
