Spicer 1350 Universal Joint & U-Bolt Kit
WF03001
The Spicer 1350 Universal Joint & U-Bolt Kit remains the standard for many Jeeps, trail rigs, lightweight buggies, and recreational rock crawlers, while larger 1410 and 1480 driveline systems are commonly used in competition vehicles and extreme horsepower applications, The universal joint is one of the hardest-working components in any driveline system- every acceleration event, suspension movement, and driveline angle change passes through the U-joint. The 1350 series has become one of the most popular driveline choices in off-road applications because it provides an excellent balance of strength, articulation, serviceability, and component availability.
Featuring a non-greaseable solid-cross design, the 1350 universal joint maximizes strength by eliminating internal grease passages that can weaken the cross section of the joint. Combined with the included Spicer U-bolt kits, this package provides secure bearing cap retention and helps prevent cap movement under high torque loads, aggressive suspension travel, and harsh off-road conditions. This kit is commonly used with WOD 1350 Driveshaft Builder Kits, WOD 1350 Carrier Bearing Shaft Builder Kits, Spicer 1350 Yokes, and 1350 pinion yokes.

Tech Insight
What is a 1350 U-joint commonly used for?
1350 series universal joints are commonly used in Jeeps, trail rigs, rock crawlers, lightweight buggies, overland vehicles, and custom off-road driveline systems.
Is a 1350 U-joint strong enough for off-road use?
Yes. The 1350 series is one of the most common driveline platforms in off-road motorsports and recreational wheeling. It offers an excellent balance of strength, articulation, and durability.
What yokes does this U-joint fit?
This U-joint fits standard 1350 series yokes, including Spicer 1350 carrier bearing yokes, driveshaft yokes, pinion yokes, and flange yokes.
Why use U-bolts instead of straps?
U-bolts provide more consistent clamping force and improved bearing cap retention compared to traditional strap-style retention systems, making them the preferred choice for many off-road applications.
Should I replace the U-bolts when replacing a U-joint?
Yes. Replacing the U-bolts during U-joint service helps ensure proper retention and reduces the risk of loosening or cap movement over time.
What other components are commonly used with this kit?
This kit is commonly paired with:
