When the hill is vertical and the clock is running, there’s no room for "weak links." Don Ryan’s Rock Bouncer X was built to be the apex predator of the rock bouncing world. This isn't just a buggy; it’s a high-revving, dirt-throwing testament to what happens when you pair Mast Motorsports power with Wide Open Design’s most aggressive chassis platform.
The Powerplant: 605 HP of Pure Aggression
At the heart of this build is a Mast Motorsports 416 pushing a staggering 605 HP. To keep that much muscle cool during back-to-back hill kills, we utilized a Griffin 31x16 radiator setup. The scream of the V8 is channeled through a custom stainless steel exhaust with a MagnaFlow muffler, giving it a tone that is as intimidating as its stance.
The "Indestructible" Drivetrain
We didn't just build this to go fast; we built it to stay together when it lands. The drivetrain features Crane Axle 14-Bolts front and rear, but the real secret is in the shafts. We ran RCV 40-spline inners mated to 47-spline Big Bell outers with Ouverson Engineering hubs. In the world of rock bouncing, this is the "gold standard" of unbreakable.
Suspension & Control
To soak up the massive hits typical of the NRRS and Pro Rock circuits, we equipped the Bouncer X with Radflo Coilovers and 2.5 Triple Bypass shocks. The geometry is held together by our signature 7075 Aluminum Links and Trailing Arms, providing a lightweight but nearly indestructible connection to the 43" TSL SX Stickies.
Our Take: The Rock Bouncer X is a surgical instrument wrapped in a sledgehammer. It’s got the tech to win and the armor to survive.
