Scott Grubb’s Jeep LJ Tube Chassis

Scott Grubb’s Jeep LJ Tube Chassis

Built to Perform. Proven Under Real Use.

Scott Grubb's Jeep LJ is a purpose-built machine designed to dominate everything from high-speed trail runs to brutal rock crawling. Powered by a high-horsepower Mast Motorsports V8 and equipped with Wide Open Design’s legendary Crane Magnum Knuckles, this rig delivers strength where it matters and precision where it counts.

A fully dialed suspension system featuring Radflo coilovers and triple bypass shocks keeps the chassis planted and controlled in any terrain. Every component on this build was selected, engineered, or fabricated with one goal in mind—uncompromised performance.

This isn’t just a build. It’s a showcase of what happens when proven engineering meets real-world abuse.

A One-of-a-Kind JL Transformation

At Wide Open Design, we took a standard Jeep JL platform and reimagined it from the ground up. The result is a one-of-a-kind rig that blends extreme off-road capability with the comfort and refinement expected from a modern vehicle.

Stronger. Smarter. More capable. Built to push limits without sacrificing drivability.
